Hey, I’m Val,
a Vancouver wedding photographer
Photography has always been about connection for me. It started as a way to connect with friends and nature, exploring the area around a friend’s cabin with my camera.
Venturing around Vancouver capturing landscapes became my hobby, and that hobby led me to graduate from photography school.
In 2020, it grew into photographing my friends’ weddings, and since then, it’s how I connect with people I wouldn’t have had the chance to meet.
What I love most is getting to know my couples, and seeing them with their loved ones on their wedding day, feeling celebrated and appreciated through the interactions and speeches. Everyone is so unique, which is why no two weddings are ever the same.
When the day has come and gone, I want you to look back on your gallery for years to come and see the love you have for your best friend, and the love you felt from your community.
Like I was for my friends, I’ll be for you. The friend with the camera, holding back tears while you say your vows.
Your people matter to you. Your photos of them should too.
For one day, you have most of your favourite people in the same place, all there to celebrate you, support you, and share in something you’ve spent so long planning. That kind of gathering doesn't happen twice. I want to make sure you have the space to be fully present with them, and the photos to remember it.
